Trump's 'Best People' Attack Former President in Ad from Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris has released an ad attacking Donald Trump ahead of today's debate between the US election candidates. It will air nationally on Fox News, ahead of Tuesday's debate.

Entitled 'The Best People', the spot features former Trump allies, such as former vice president Mike Pence, publicly saying why they can't endorse him for another term.

“In 2016, Donald Trump said he would choose only the best people to work in his White House,” a voiceover says. “Now those people have a warning for America: Trump is not fit to be president again.”

“Anyone who puts themselves over the constitution should never be the president of the United States,” adds Pence.

A clip from a CNN interview with former defense secretary Mark Esper is included in which he explains why Trump can't be trusted with the United States' security. He goes on to call him a "wannabe dictator."

“Take it from the people who knew him best, Donald Trump is a danger to our troops and our democracy,” the voiceover concludes.

The spot launched via Harris' account on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Take it from the people who worked for him: Donald Trump is a danger to our troops, our security, and our democracy," the post reads. "He should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States."
