Trailer Park Group, the global leader in entertainment marketing and content production today announced that David Messinger has been elected by the Board to serve as chairman and interim chief executive officer, effective immediately.
A powerhouse in entertainment and marketing, David will lead the next era of growth for the business, including guiding the overarching strategic direction and driving further market expansion. He brings deep industry and proven executive experience to the role, including leadership positions at marketing services organisations, blue-chip entertainment companies, and technology-based entities.
David succeeds Trailer Park Group veteran Rick Eiserman, who led the company’s growth, evolution, and diversification as CEO from 2008-2015 and 2019-2024 to become the global industry leader in fully integrated content marketing—expanding global talent to more than 800 employees across three continents. Under Rick’s leadership, Trailer Park Group has partnered with clients to market box office blockbusters, breakout streaming hits, and gaming franchise brands while earning countless of industry awards and accolades—most recently being named Clio Entertainment Agency of the Year in 2022.
“David has decades of both agency and client-side experience at some of the world’s most recognised entertainment companies, including Activision Blizzard, CAA, and The Walt Disney Company,” said Rick. “His experience and connections, combined with an outstanding track record building brands, serving clients, and integrating innovation with creativity, makes him ideal to advance Trailer Park Group’s next phase of growth and evolution.”
David’s appointment reflects Trailer Park Group’s continued commitment to serving clients across the full spectrum of entertainment categories across film, TV, streaming, gaming, and sports. Trailer Park Group has experienced significant growth over the last two years, with key investments spanning international markets, including new acquisitions with MXW in London and White Turtle Studios in Mumbai, as well as alternative media and entertainment segments including gameplay video production via the acquisition of industry-leader, Dark Burn Creative.
“I’ve long admired Trailer Park Group and its ability to engage and excite audiences about the world’s most celebrated and anticipated entertainment and sports properties,” said David. “I look forward to working with the leadership team to continue to build upon Trailer Park Group’s creativity and marketing know-how on behalf of its world-leading clients.”
Previously, David served as chief marketing officer at Activision Blizzard and led the global marketing function. Prior to Activision Blizzard, David was the co-head of CAA Marketing, a division of Creative Artists Agency, where he developed marketing strategies and award-winning original content to leverage the power of entertainment on behalf of corporate clients. David’s experience also includes executive marketing roles at IAC, The Walt Disney Company, and the Leo Burnett Company.
Trailer Park Group was acquired by Erie Street Growth Partners and Origami Capital Partners in August of 2021, receiving strategic capital to further its competitive advantage across the entertainment market landscape.
