Integrated production company Tool is celebrating after a series of victories at the SXSW Interactive Awards. Directors Ben Tricklebank, James Cooper, and Jason Zada paired with Tool’s digital team represented the company as finalists across multiple categories, boasting several wins: Tricklebank took home an award in the Film/TV category for “An Idea Lives On” in collaboration with The Martin Agency; Cooper clinched an award in the Community Category with “Quietest Show on Earth” via McCann NY and Campbell Mithun, and Zada won for Technical Achievement for “Remote Control Tourist” out of Clemenger BBDO with Exit Films. Tool’s in-house team handled the digital production for all projects.
Tool has consistently been one of the most lauded production houses in the industry with its cutting-edge work for brands like Playstation, Nissan, and AT&T winning awards and driving business. Over the past three years, Tool projects have won eight times at SXSW, including the Best in Show award for “Take this Lollipop” in 2012.
