The campaign emphasises Tinder’s iconic flame logo, symbolising passion and the possibility of turning the page to embrace new opportunities

Tinder, the world's most popular dating app, in collaboration with GUT Mexico City, is launching its new campaign "Burned Logo" to position itself as the ideal ally for facing Ex Day (April 14). The campaign invites people to redefine the concept of breakups, transforming them into opportunities to explore new relationships and meaningful connections.

The campaign, brought to life through a series of prints and visual materials, highlights the brand’s stance: encouraging people to reconnect with the world of relationships. Using an innovative approach, it emphasises Tinder’s iconic flame logo, symbolising passion and the possibility of turning the page to embrace new opportunities.

"One of the first steps to moving on from an ex is getting rid of the objects they left behind. Many people do this by burning them. It’s a cathartic act. Liberating. And in that very flame, we saw something more: Tinder’s flame logo. It often represents the next step—the exploration, the search. It’s the future. That’s why we transformed the flame that closes a cycle into the flame that opens new ones,” said Agustín Osman, creative director of GUT Mexico City.

Tinder remains the global leader in the dating app industry, enabling its users to meet new people they would otherwise never have encountered. This campaign highlights the endless possibilities for connection that Tinder offers, encouraging users—especially on dates like these—to leave behind failed relationships and embrace new opportunities in love through "free exploration," looking forward without fear of judgment.

"This new campaign is aimed at those looking to close cycles on a meaningful day like ‘Ex Day’ with an interesting and positive twist. On one hand, there's the symbolic burning of everything that reminds them of that past person. On the other, reigniting the spark of self-love, opening up to self-exploration and authentic new connections—whether with long-term relationship goals or perhaps something fleeting, but undoubtedly meaningful," said José Rodrigues, marketing director, Tinder Latin America and Canada.

Tinder and Ex Day make a match for the first time, reminding people that there is always an opportunity to start anew.
