Director Tim Bullock helmed the third instalment of Lotto New Zealand’s ‘Imagine’ series, telling a story of two colleagues and friends that tugs at the heartstrings in the most feel-good way. The film follows on from 2015’s ‘Pop’s Gify’ and 2016’s ‘Mum’s Wish’.
Inspired by the true story of a Kiwi man who won $15 million and, true to his promise, split it with his mate, DDB NZ wrote the script for ‘Armoured Truck’ - a story full of twists and turns. Tim, who is represented by Blink in the UK, made the film through Australian production company Scoundrel.
Describing the film, Tim said: “It’s a warm, cathartic buddy tale exuding wish fulfilment but it’s also the story of the ultimate prank. One that we would all love to be in a position to play or have played on us. What we perceive to be a bad joke, then a crime in progress is revealed, in the end, to be a story of loyalty and generosity – highlighting the better side of humanity."
The Armoured Truck TVC will roll out with 120”, 90”, 60” and 30” versions, the 120” will also be used online and in cinema.
