The Works win Best Re-record at Music+Sound Awards 2012. Remarkable Moments with David Attenborough wins the coveted award for "Best Re-record" at the Music and Sound Awards 2012. Up against the big advertising campaigns of the year, including two John Lewis Christmas campaigns and the much hyped Thomson "Time for a Holiday" spot, the two and a half minute trailer that was a collaboration by RKCRY&R, Red Bee and The Works came through and scooped the award for Nick Payne (arranger and producer) and creatives Ted Heath and Paul Angus.
The trailer, also nominated at the Music and Sound Awards for "Best Use of Existing Music in a Trailer or Promo" featured a re-record of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" narrated by David Attenborough with a backing track produced in-house at The Works was made to celebrate his incredible career and honour him at 85 years old as he narrated his final series, Forzen Planet for the BBC. The short film was first aired after the concluding part of the series on BBC 1.
We were incredibly proud to be able to contribute to such a project honouring a national treasure such as Sir David Attenborough and thrilled when it won the Award for "Best Re-record".
