Capgemini has rolled The Works into frog, bringing the agency under the Capgemini Invent umbrella.
Sydney-based creative agency The Works became part of Capgemini in 2021 following the consulting giant’s acquisition of RXP Services.
Now under the leadership of Jerome Gaslain, who returned to Australia last year after stints at AKQA Amsterdam and The&Partnership in London, The Works is being fully integrated into frog.
“The Works and frog have always shared the same passion for creative excellence, strategic growth, and human-centric innovation,” Jerome said of the merger.
“Now, by uniting our extraordinary teams we are elevating our expertise to fuse strategy, creativity, data, AI and tech to create new dimensions of value for our clients in Australia and worldwide.
“Change isn’t just about evolution, it’s about acceleration. Let’s reinvent business and build unforgettable experiences, together.”
Jerome will work as vice president of creative AUNZ alongside head of frog and chief sales officer, Capgemini Invent AUNZ, Julie Raoux. They will oversee a team of 80 people across Sydney and Melbourne, as part of a larger frog network that spans 35 studios and 3,000 employees.
“The Works has a new name, but their commitment to creative innovation and brand growth remains unchanged as they now continue as part of frog,” Julie said.
“Now, united as part of frog, we’re creating even better brand experiences that blend design, innovation and strategy like never before.”
In a media release posted to its website, frog added, "By uniting our talented teams of strategists, brand experts, product and experience designers, creatives, technologists and data scientists we are positioned to elevate our clients to the next level in Australia and on a global scale—leveraging next-level design, data and tech to deliver game-changing products, services and experiences across physical and digital worlds."
The new-look frog AUNZ will work across four key pillars: brand and creative (previously The Works), innovation, customer experience strategy, and service design.
The Works was originally founded in 2002 by Kevin McMillan and Damien Pincus. In 2006, Douglas Nicols joined the team as a founding partner.
