The Signl’s debut album ‘Sirens’ is the culmination of a multi-creative, artform-spanning endeavor.
Featuring ten tracks, ‘Sirens’ is a conceptual album based on Dutch artist Yani’s homonymous art show inspired by the mythical creatures in Homer’s Odyssey.
Having done the sound design for Yani’s art installation ‘The Sirens’ in 2020, Nick Smith from Stainless Sound took it a step further and conceived a new way to experience “the call”.
In collaboration with James Cook and Alix Wood, Smith created The Signl: a long-distance partnership with the goal of writing atmospheric music that is both engaging and a tad experimental.
Nick says: “‘Sirens’ draws you in and enraptures you. This album is a fascinating textural experience that can make you forget when and where you are.”
‘Sirens’ is available now on all streaming services. Listen here.
