He may have had a gyrocopter, a shark gun and an invisible car but James Bond has never really explored facial hair as a potential source of superspy gadgetry. Sherbet director Clement Bolla has decided to focus an altogether more rugged kind of action hero than Fleming’s martini-swigging Oxbridge graduate for his newest project.
Bolla, a French director based in London has released the trailer for miniseries project, ‘The Man With the Golden Beard’.
Clement graduated from top CG animation school Supinfocom in 2006 with his co-directed short film “Zoudov” which was featured in many festivals around the globe, including “Imagina” in Monaco and “Encounters” in the UK.
After a stint in LA where he got to create a music video for iconic rock stars Jerry Lee Lewis and Bruce Springsteen, he moved back to London and pursued his career in animation and visual effects, working for some of the best companies in town.
Other directing credits include a promo for Afro-blues musical duo Amadou & Mariam as well as the live action short “The Elaborate End of Robert Ebb”, which has won multiple awards including the Canal Plus prize at the Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
