After three years of collaboration, BRW Filmland and Mendips Productions along with director Sebastien Grousset and DOP Pancho Alcaine have launched their latest spot for Fastweb, starring the Italian women's national gymnastics team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The eight top-level professional athletes travelled from Italy to Barcelona and had only one day and a half to shoot, due to their strict routine of training.
On the first day, the team shot the choreography that the gymnasts had previously trained in with the director. It took place in a Montjuic’s Pavillion, a location chosen by director Sebastien Grousset, with a special gymnastics wood track. The wood track was imported from Valencia and the Basque Country, as it had to be tested and approved by the Italian team.
On the second day, the scenes had to show the day to day of the girls, so Mendips and BRW Filmland scouted for locations in Barcelona; at the beach, in a flat and in a bus.
Both the advertising agencies, Take and Connexia, and the client, were very happy with the shoot and the result.
