The Gate was one of the top winners in the FCS (Financial Communications Society) Portfolio Awards, which were presented on May 20 in New York. The Gate tied with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for the most trophies in the competition.
The Gate won 11 awards for its print, out of home and digital work for clients AllianceBernstein, State Street Global Advisors, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals. The Gate’s print work for 'Basketball' for State Street Global Advisors and 'Houdini' for Alliance Bernstein won Gold trophies.
This year’s Portfolio Awards competition included nearly 400 entries, with Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies awarded to ROI, Public Relations, Collateral, Web Sites, and Advertising in print, television, out-of-home, direct mail, interactive and multimedia categories. Winning entries were received from financial services providers, including investment firms, credit card companies, investment banks, brokerages and exchanges, insurance companies, mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, accounting firms, clearing corporations and commercial banks. In total, 41 different companies took home trophies. This year’s judging panel consisted of 25 senior executives from financial firms and communications agencies.
“This is the second year in a row that The Gate is among the top winners at the FCS Portfolio Awards among top agencies,” said David Bernstein, executive creative director at The Gate. “We are particularly proud of having multiple wins spread out among three of our clients.”
