The full-time program (in English) starts in September 2024

As of now you can enrol as a student in the Creative Belgium School, a new postgraduate degree that aims to prepare the next generation of creative thinkers in – guess where - Belgium. Under the motto "creativity can be trained," the Creative Belgium School aims to help develop students' creative talent and teach them how to use their creativity to come up with relevant and innovative solutions for brands, companies and society.

The full-time program (in English) starts in September 2024, lasts one academic year and includes five modules:

  • Conceptual Creative Deep Dive and Atelier
  • Creative Drills
  • The Art of Making a Portfolio
  • Internship
  • Portfolio Presentation

Greet Wachters, teacher in the Communication program at Thomas More Mechelen and program coordinator of the Creative Belgium School: "There is so much creativity among young people. Students dream of a creative job, but they don’t have a portfolio, which still gives you a foot in the door. With this one-year program, we will break that barrier.”

Isabel Van den Broeck, MD at Creative Belgium said, “Students will be trained only by professionals from the industry. There are no exams, they will leave the school with a strong portfolio that reflects their conceptual and creative thinking.”

To make the Creative Belgium School accessible to everyone (national and international), all classes will be in English, and the entrance fee will be 3500 euros. Prior education or experience in the creative sector are not a must. Only a bachelor's or master's degree is required, and above all: an open mind willing to think provocatively and without prejudice.

The Crea4ve Belgium School is the result of an intensive collaboration between Thomas More Mechelen and Creative Belgium, the national professional association of Belgian creatives that celebrates and stimulates creativity.

Isabel Van den Broeck, managing director of Crea4ve Belgium said, "This course is completely in line with our mission to find and train the next generation of creative talent. We can count on the support of the industry with this initiative: everyone has an interest in ensuring that future creative talent is moulded by the best in our industry and finds its way to our sector. I am firmly convinced of the impact this training will have.”
