Tess Mitchell steps in as executive producer for the London office, after producing for Sara Dunlop over the past five years on campaigns for Nike, Eli Lilly, McDonalds and most recently for Women's Aid. Tess said “The Corner Shop feels like home for me, so to be with the gang every day and to focus on the UK market is a role I am super excited about. The Corner Shop has a diverse and varied roster that I looking forward to working with and growing.”
In the Los Angeles office, Katie Taylor joins as executive producer working alongside senior EP Jay Shapiro. Taylor brings her extensive experience of film, TV and advertising to the company that she has worked with as a freelancer since its inception, and was part of the production team on Malik Vitthal’s Emmy and Grand Prix winning P&G Commercial, The Talk. Katie commented, “I have had the unique opportunity to witness The Corner Shop grow from an idea to an identity. With a front row seat from its inception The Corner Shop has shaped my professional career from production assistant to producer. To formally join this team over a decade later is thrilling. I look forward to not only the stories we will tell but the memories we will create.”
Anna Hashmi, founder and executive producer across both offices said of the two signings, “Both Tess and Katie have been part of the team for many years, so I feel lucky that they are exclusively committed to work with us and our directors. As much as we need to invest in our directors, we also need producers who bring passion and energy into the work that we do, and support the creative process.”
In addition, Mini Bhogal has been promoted internally to head of production to the US office. Anna added, “The culture of the company is created by the eclectic directors we work with, the creativity of our production team and in creating an environment that supports inclusivity.”
