The Commercial Communications Council Announces Rufus Chuter as Chair of the Media Committee

The Commercial Communications Council (Comms Council) announces the appointment of Rufus Chuter as the newly elected Chair of the Media Committee. The Comms Council would like to extend a big thank you to Rachel Anderson-Cormack for all her contributions to the committee and to Rufus for taking over the reins.

Rufus is managing partner and co-founder of independent media agency Together, the 2022 Beacons Media Agency of the Year. He’s worked in the media and advertising industry for over 20 years in both the UK and New Zealand. Starting out on the McCann Erickson graduate scheme in London, Rufus has held various leadership and strategy roles within integrated and global media agencies including Starcom, MEC and FCB before founding Together in 2018. 

He has worked with many of the biggest brands in New Zealand and the UK and his work has been recognised at every major local and international media award show including Beacons, Effies, Cannes Lions and Festival of Media. 

Rufus has served on the Media Committee twice, first while managing director of FCB Media and currently as managing partner of Together.

Rufus says: “It’s an honour to be taking over the reins from Rachel. On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to thank her for her outstanding leadership during a period of significant change for our industry. The difference that media agencies make has never been more important, so I’m really excited to be helping navigate the way forward with such a strong and committed Media Committee.”
