The Brooklyn Brothers London bolsters its strategic team to support client growth and new business wins. Tarek Sioufi is promoted to the newly creative role of chief strategy officer, Kim Walker and Will Sansom promoted to joint heads of strategy.

Sioufi, previously head of strategy at The Brooklyn Brothers, assumes the newly created role of chief strategy officer with immediate effect. Reporting into the agency’s founder and global ECD George Bryant, Sioufi will be responsible for the development and delivery of the agency’s vision and proposition across existing clients and through new business opportunities. Sioufi joined The Brooklyn Brothers in 2013 from Fallon London and had previously led strategy on the global adidas account at Sid Lee Amsterdam.

Walker and Sansom have taken on the role of Joint Heads of Strategy. In their new role, Walker and Sansom will lead the day-to-day running of the strategy team and oversee the strategic output for the agency's complete roster of clients, reporting into Sioufi.

Walker joined the Brooklyn Brothers in November 2015 and has been strategic lead on clients including Jaguar Land Rover, Castrol EDGE and American Express; developing work such as last year's Jaguar - The Pace Project with Dua Lipa, the Castrol EDGE - Titanium Trials in partnership with Fast & Furious.

Prior to joining The Brooklyn Brothers, Walker worked as a client-side planner. Most recently at Bacardi Global leading planning on the Premium White Spirits category including Grey Goose and Bombay Sapphire brands. Before that, she was a brand planner at Mars Chocolate working across the full portfolio of chocolate brands in Europe and the UK.

Sansom joined The Brooklyn Brothers in the summer of 2017 and has been strategic lead on clients including Financial Times and WaterWipes, developing work such as the recently launched #ThisIsParenthood Project for WaterWipes.

Prior to joining The Brooklyn Brothers, Sansom ran the creative consultancy division of Contagious, where he led a global team of strategists and worked with clients including Nike, Google and Heineken.

Tarek Sioufi, CSO, The Brooklyn Brothers, said, “It’s such an exciting time to work in planning. It’s no longer simply enough to champion the voice of the consumer. Modern planning is about curating culture and helping brands shift societal norms in a truthful and credible way. And at Brooklyn it’s the genuinely collaborative partnership between strategy and creative that allows us to design earned first strategies that lead to breakthrough creative work. I’m incredibly excited about working with Will and Kim in their new role and to lead this talented and brave group of Brooklynites into a new era of advertising.”

George Bryant, founder & global ECD, The Brooklyn Brothers, said “As an agency we focus on helping brands to rise above the noise and have a place in culture. Tarek, Kim and Will are going to be pivotal in leading the creation of bold, modern Brooklyn-style work that is embedded in culture to truly innovate and transform our clients’ businesses.”
