The Barbarian Group Names Robert Lund as CD

Alan Friel’s flair for performance combined with his stylish technical approach shone through in the 27 spots he recently directed for ASDA’s Christmas campaign.  A successful start for VCCP BLUE’s new client with one spot featured in Campaign’s Top Ten Christmas commercials of 2013. 

Alan starts 2014 putting the finishing touches to his Irish filmboard funded short film ‘Clint Eastwood’; a heart-rendering story about a nine year old girl and her mentally ill mother.  The film was shot by DOP extraordinaire Robbie Ryan and hits the film festival circuit in the coming months. 

As well as the short film Alan has been commissioned to develop his first feature film ‘Woken’ by Fantastic Films in Dublin.  ‘watch this space’.
