After a competitive pitch process, Wavemaker has been named media agency of record for telecom and media group Telia Company across the Nordic region, including Lithuania and Estonia, with Wavemaker’s GroupM sister agency, Mediacom, covering Norway.
Wavemaker will provide media strategy, planning, buying and execution for all Telia Company brands and work with the Telia marketing team on strategic initiatives aimed at optimising and creating efficiency across the media buying process.
By choosing to work with Wavemaker, Telia has consolidated their business with a partner that can deliver a unified approach across the region’s six markets.

Telia's brands have different positions in different markets, and the Telia marketing team strongly believes in local relevance. The new consolidated approach does mean more centralisation but is about creating uniform directions and work processes to become a faster and more efficient team - and to ensure the sharing of important learnings. The hub will be with Wavemaker in Sweden.
