The importance of connectivity in our everyday lives has never been this prominent. And technology is creating opportunities greater than ever before – but the best is, still, yet to come. This is what the Swedish branch of the international telecom company Telenor believes, and communicates through their new communication concept.
The first commercial, directed by Andreas Nilsson and the production company Bacon, paints an imaginative and quirky picture of a futuristic utopia, to show the power that unleashes when you dare to be optimistic, and use your imagination.
"It’s not about determining exactly what the future will look like, rather it’s about playing with the idea of what is possible. We are convinced that the future will continue to astonish us and improve our lives – something that many of our customers seem to agree with. Almost 7/10 believe that new technology will have a positive impact on society, so we want to continue to be a progressive business, both when developing products, renewing working methods and how we communicate with and help customers" says Linda Wetterborg, marketing manager at Telenor Sweden.
NORD DDB and Telenor started their collaboration in early 2020, and have since then been working on the new concept. The first campaign will roll out as TVC, outdoor, display, print and OLV.
"The people on Telenor are brave and forward-looking, and their will to do something big has inspired us enormously. 2020 so far has shown us how complex the world and humanity can be, but restrictions can also contribute to creativity. In a world that is on fire, an optimistic mindset is needed more than ever, and we must believe that the best truly is yet to come." says Hanna Stenwall, creative lead for Telenor at NORD DDB.
