Taylor James Announces New Specialised Automotive Division

Taylor James is launching the Taylor James Automotive Group, a division offering automotive clients the skills of dedicated creative leads and senior artists from all disciplines. 

The specialized group delivers 360 productions using live-action, photography, VFX and CGI assets to create industry-leading photorealism. 

“We have adapted our knowledge across sectors and developed a pipeline specifically tailored to the needs of our automotive clients,” says Glen Taylor, CEO of Taylor James. “The logical next step is to unify the expertise under the Automotive Group to give our clients the best work in a shorter amount of time, whilst bringing the financial costs down.”

Keith Jeffery will oversee the division across all global markets. “Our expertise in CGI has led to an increasing number of automotive projects. When CGI is combined with VFX, we can create stunning visuals with unlimited potential. I am looking forward to offering our clients a team of specialized experts,” comments Jeffery, who will also work with the Taylor James technical development team to advance the capabilities of a proprietary in-house software, hydraGen.

hydraGen streamlines CGI processes and facilitates increased production speed and efficiency. Optimally suited to address automotive requirements, the software offers clients radical time and budgetary savings.

“Across print and motion, we have been combining our production experience with hydraGen to deliver photo-realistic automotive assets for cross-platform use,” says Jeffery. “Its automated processes increase the volume of assets we produce a hundred fold -- this allows us to focus on both the creative and the technical. The end product is an unmatched level of photorealism and our clients save time and money by up to 40%.” 

For over 15 years, Taylor James has been trusted to deliver 360 campaigns for leading advertising agencies and automotive manufacturers, including Ford, Audi, BMW, Toyota and Land Rover.

Taylor James recently collaborated with Team Detroit on a global integrated campaign for the new Ford Ranger, and hydraGen was key to managing the complex CGI configurations and delivering photo-realistic 360, POS, social media, print and web-based content.
