Academy welcomes director Talia Beale to the roster for global representation.
Talia Beale is a multifaceted artist, filmmaker, musician and uniquely talented human being. Hailing from Tottenham, London, Talia has an elastic eye that creates worlds rooted within underground youth culture.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins, Talia started to make music videos for her friends and her own tracks. This DIY ethos has developed and landed her commercial work with the likes of Fred Perry, Playstation, EA Sports, Nike and most recently IKEA.
Talia has worked closely with artists like Charles Jeffrey, Obongjayar, Flying Lotus, Cruel Santino and Nia Archives and worked with publishers including The Face, NTS, Crack Magazine and Keep Hush.
Talia sits on the inside of culture and we’re so excited to work with a director who is consistently on the pulse and has a unique understanding of today’s world across fashion, art, music and filmmaking.
She is the moment.
“Energy bleeds into everything I make. I move between film, music, performance, and visual art, stitching them together to build gritty, emotional, off-kilter worlds. I’m never just one thing. I’m always all. Joining the Academy family feels like stepping into a bigger playground! With sharper tools and collaborators. I’m super gassed to grow, take risks, and shape new visual worlds that feel like poems you can step inside.” said Talia Beale.
“Talia is a rare force - a modern polymath whose creativity moves effortlessly across disciplines and platforms. With a nuanced understanding of culture and community, her work feels both of the moment and ahead of it. As she steps into the global spotlight, we’re honoured to welcome her to our roster and champion the next chapter in what promises to be a remarkable career.” said, Medb Riordan, partner and managing director.
“Talia is one in a million, an incredible talent who brims with curiosity and surprises me with unique references and ways of looking at the world. I want her to win. Not only is she a brilliant director, she is a wonderful human being. I can’t wait to see what she does.” said Jennifer Byrne, head of development.
