Advertising agency barrettSF has created a new advertising campaign for Northern California health care provider Sutter Health that aims to extend a message of hope at a time when optimism is greatly needed.
The first spot, 'Summer Babies', uses the topic of maternity services and childbirth to remind people that life (and the healthcare that Sutter provides) continues to more forward even when we are living in challenging times. The 30-second spot, which launched on July 7, introduces April, May, and June, three babies presumably born during the Covid-19 crisis this spring. It will run through August 31.
The ad opens by showing a sonogram on the screen, as a narrator acknowledges, “The past few months have been really hard.” The shot is then replaced with film of the happy, healthy newborns. “But even so, they’ve given us a few reasons to celebrate,” she continues.
“We're several months into Covid, and people still need reassurance that it's okay to go see the doctor,” said Brad Kayal, associate creative director at barrettSF. “‘Babies’ uses a simple and very hopeful maternity story to remind everyone that life is still happening, and Sutter Health is very much here - for all of us.”
The video, and other work depicting the open access to healthcare services, are running across paid and owned social media, newsprint, local radio, and podcasts across Northern California.
