Sustainability Consultant Christina Wu Joins Impact Plus as International Customer Success Manager

Sustaintech platform hires former PHD, Digitas and OMD media analyst to advise advertisers on how to reduce the carbon footprint of digital campaigns

Impact Plus, a global pioneer in providing advertisers with solutions to evaluate and reduce the environmental impact of their online ads, today announced that sustainability consultant Christina Wu has joined the company as its new international customer success manager. 

Christina, who has worked in the ad industry for almost a decade at various companies, including PHD, OMD, and Saatchi & Saatchi, will be responsible for helping clients reduce the carbon footprint of their digital campaigns using Impact Plus's carbon evaluation technology. 

The leading sustaintech platform works with global brands, agencies and ad networks to enable them to evaluate and minimise the greenhouse gas emissions generated by their online ads. Clients include L’Oréal, Heineken, Nestlé and BMW. 

Online ads contribute significantly to global GHG emissions. The internet has overtaken the aviation industry as one of the main contributors to global emissions, with a significant proportion of these emissions coming from the energy needed to power digital advertising.  An online ad campaign of five million ad impressions is capable of emitting as much carbon dioxide as a round-trip flight from Paris to Los Angeles (source: Impact Plus).   

Christina will be based at the company's headquarters in Paris and will report directly to Agathe Viaud, Impact Plus’s global head of customer success.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Christina’s wide range of experience will be crucial in helping Impact Plus grow. Before joining Impact Plus, she worked as a sustainability consultant, supporting companies with their ESG analysis and reporting. She holds an MSc in International & Sustainable Management. 

Prior to that that, she held data analysis and reporting roles across the US and the UK at agencies including PHD, Digitas, OMD, and Saatchi & Saatchi. During that time, she advised international blue-chip clients such as Toyota, Apple, Samsung, and Google on their media measurement.   

Christina, who also volunteers at The Change Climate Project as a Carbon Management Coach, said, "I am incredibly excited to join Impact Plus and contribute to the crucial work of championing sustainability in digital media. I am eager to leverage my diverse experiences to support the 'evaluate, reduce, scale' approach and help our global clients minimise their environmental impact."
