Stripey Horse has announced that the
second instalment of its 'On the Road with…’ documentary series for Radio 1
has aired on their iPlayer channel.
Following on from last November’s ‘On the Road with
Slaves’, Stripey Horse shadowed indie rock sensation Wolf Alice as they treated
themselves to a well-deserved break in Brighton.
Wolf Alice, who released their critically acclaimed
debut album ‘My Love is Cool’ last year, have smashed their way into the indie
rock scene, following their 2015 Mercury Music Prize nomination and this year’s
Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Performance.
Stripey Horse filmed the North London four-piece,
who are currently embarking on their first worldwide tour, as they ambled
around the seaside and generally relaxed prior to their gig at the iconic
Brighton Dome.
Nicola Martin at Stripey Horse, says, “We
approached the band because we are genuinely massive fans. We joined them a few
weeks into their UK tour and it was great to be able to give the fans an
insight into the often unseen elements of tour life.”
“Radio 1 were fantastic to collaborate with on this
project and were very supportive,” says Nicola. “Stripey Horse are eager to
continue our work with Radio 1 and bands like Wolf Alice. Most
importantly, we want to keep showing the fans what they want to see.”
On The Road With Wolf Alice is available to view
now on BBC Radio 1’s iPlayer
Channel.
