Stripe, the digital payment provider, is launching a transatlantic brand campaign designed to demonstrate the breadth of their products and services to a cross-section of businesses.
The campaign, which was planned and bought by Wake the Bear, has launched with a major out of home campaign across London and major cities in the USA, including NYC & LA.
The first brand campaign for the fintech giant is targeted at enterprise-level businesses in a bid to raise awareness of Stripe outside its current core user base of start-ups and SMEs.
With the tagline “Make progress” it targets leading enterprises that are under pressure to grow, innovate, and transform. In what will be a phased approach this first series highlights Hertz, Uber, OpenAI and London Gatwick as examples of successful Stripe clients.
The campaign is focused on challenging pre-existing perceptions of Stripe as being an SME-only solution. By strategically hand-selecting some of the most spectacular and iconic OOH sites across the two countries, the unmissable campaign screams scale. Combined with a creative that showcases the famous enterprise businesses Stripe partners with drives that reappraisal.
London sites include the Waterloo Domination, Heathrow T5, Canary Wharf, Gatwick Domination and Clapham Colossus.
Lydia Mulkeen, managing director, Wake The Bear, said, “It’s been a genuine privilege to work with Stripe to deliver their first brand campaign. It certainly takes trust and bravery to venture into brand advertising with a multi-million pound OOH campaign! However, there is no better way to make mass impact that reflects the stature of Stripe as a brand, while also demonstrating the scale of the enterprise audience that the campaign is designed to reach.”
Jeff Titterton, CMO, Stripe, said, “With more than 100 companies processing more than $1 billion in payments annually, industry leaders are turning to Stripe at an increasing clip for digital transformation, a better customer experience, and accelerated progress.”
“This year we've seen an uptick in established businesses using new technologies to reinvent their business models while startups are monetizing sooner than ever before. Thank you to Uber, OpenAI, Hertz, and London Gatwick Airport partnering with us and for letting us feature you on billboards, at airports, and in public transit.”
