Special London has hired Gregory Fazal and Thomas Worthington, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam creatives, as senior creatives.
Gregory and Thomas will report into Special’s chief creative officer David Day and are tasked with working on clients such as Employment Hero and Uber.
During their time at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, the pair brought the Aurora Borealis to the skies of Manchester for Nike and created 'Every decision counts' for Google.
The duo was the first team in the world to win a yellow, white and black Pencil for a single piece of work at D&AD New Blood for their Nationwide campaign 'How it should be' in 2015.
They started their careers at Grey London working under Vicki Maguire, now chief creative officer of Havas London, and Nils Leonard, founder of Uncommon Creative Studio.
Gregory and Thomas have also worked at BBC Creative and Havas London.
David Day, chief creative officer at Special London, said, “As Special London continues to grow, it’s important we find talent that are the embodiment of our values and ambitions; Greg and Thomas deliver and surpass on both counts.
“Winners of the first ever yellow, black and white Pencil for a single piece of work, with experience at some of the world’s most creative agencies, such as Wieden+Kennedy and BBC Creative, working on brands such as Nike, Volkswagen and Google. We feel so lucky to have these two wonderful human beings at Special London.”
The hire follows Jennifer Black, chief executive and partner at Special London, leaving the agency.
Gregory and Thomas added, “Our mothers never called us special as children so this was our main motivation for joining. Secondary to this was the free Jammy Dodgers. And thirdly it was a chance to help build an agency with some truly, wonderfully, talentedly people.”
