The new WAYMORE team speaks to LBB’s Zara Naseer about the strategy behind the partnership

According to WAYMORE, “sometimes, one plus one equals three.”

The supercharged Spanish production service provider was recently formed from a partnership between Falca and MY WAY to enhance the experience of those seeking a local partner in the region. While the founding companies will continue to run and cater to preexisting clients, the united front has combined the two’s talent, production capacity, and producers, unlocking new potential to service ever more ambitious projects.

“We know it’s a different way to make business,” says Ignasi Vargas, founder and executive producer at WAYMORE, “not acquiring but uniting, and not with money but with trust and partnership. We are convinced that it will be useful for agencies and companies who may be looking for something different to what’s already out there.”

LBB’s Zara Naseer spoke to WAYMORE to delve further into the brains behind the business move, as well as its aspirations for the future.

LBB> To get some background on the history of each company, what experience do both of you bring to the table?

WAYMORE> MY WAY is a renowned service production company in Barcelona led by executive producer Tina Dobslaw. Tina, originally from Hamburg, has been producing in Spain for more than 20 years and she founded MY WAY in 2016. Together with her team, MY WAY has worked with a variety of international production companies since then.

Falca was born in 2016 as well, with sports and cars as its main expertise. In 2024 new producers joined the team, which allowed us to have the muscle to face new adventures.

LBB> How did this partnership first come about? Do Falca and MY WAY have a history of collaboration?

WAYMORE> The changing environment in production and the raising of standards and requirements made it necessary to consolidate to be able to face bigger projects. By uniting resources, experience and strength we thought we could offer a better experience for our clients.

A sort of foundational moment came last year when Noemi March produced a job as a freelancer for MY WAY. She saw the similarities and also the spaces for complementing each other, and how this could be a good idea.

LBB> Thinking about why your two companies in particular make sense together, tell us how Falca and MY WAY’s mission and way of operating align.

WAYMORE> We combine different backgrounds. Tina has worked in the German market, Noemi has worked for a long time in Paris and Jack Daniel-Dempsey started his career in London. We are not only coming from different backgrounds but also from different generations and moments in our careers. So, combining all these seemed like a handy advantage.

By working together, we have a larger team which helps us to prepare projects faster, better, and more efficiently.

We also have a very experienced and high quality locations team. That makes a big difference and is very often a deciding point during the pitch process as we are able to provide pre-scouts in order to help our clients win projects.

WAYMORE feels like the right answer for the current times where we need to offer absolute high quality and a good creative understanding of what we are producing.

LBB> And in terms of how you differ – with what unique properties does either company strengthen the partnership?

WAYMORE> We are two very different companies!

MY WAY is extremely precise, focused on the best service and accommodating clients. It is truly boutique.

Falca is a force, with a strong team and a culture geared towards more scrappy, fast-executing projects.

WAYMORE combines the best of the two.

LBB> What kind of clients and projects will get the benefit of your joint service?

WAYMORE> International production companies that are looking for personalised production service of a high standard in Spain.

LBB> Why now? What shifts in the production landscape does this partnership respond to?

WAYMORE> It is a response to the need of boutique service production companies to be more competitive in the market.

With some really dominant players in the ecosystem and high expectations in the pre-production/bidding process we wanted to find the right answer.

Now there are four senior producers who are able to bid and dedicate the brain power required for each project so we have become a reliable and strong option.

LBB> Have you worked on any projects as this new combined force yet? Can you share a bit about them and the experience?

WAYMORE> For the moment, we have collaborated on the pitch process but we have not produced together yet. It looks like our first WAYMORE production will happen on January 25th, so we are very excited about it.

LBB> Finally, what are you most excited about in the future of this collaboration?

WAYMORE> We are most excited to collaborate with people we admire professionally, and to have the opportunity to combine talent and human experiences from both companies. We believe our job is to support our clients' vision and needs.

It will be exciting to see what we can bring to the table that makes us different.
