Sound Lounge, the premiere audio post-production house in Manhattan, is thrilled to announce two new personnel additions to the company’s growing downtown location on Hudson Street. Continuing the development and cultivation of their talent base, Sound Lounge has hired Harrison Nalevansky as Executive Producer, and has promoted Justin “Sal” Kooy to Audio Engineer.
In his new role, Nalevansky will head up the mixing studio’s downtown location, including overseeing sales, production, scheduling and client relations. Nalevansky comes to Sound Lounge from Two Cats Media, where he was Manager of Development. He has worked on major TV shows for networks such as MTV and HBO, including Ugly Betty, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Entourage and Inside Edition. Nalevansky is a graduate of Emerson College and has a Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Literature and Publishing.
Kooy’s professional evolution has taken place within the walls of Sound Lounge. Beginning six years ago as an intern, Kooy grew to become Assistant Mixer to Sound Lounge Partner and Mixer Peter Holcomb at the Lounge’s 5th Avenue location. Since moving to Sound Lounge’s Hudson Square location, he has mixed TV shows for major networks, such as PBS and the Food Network, as well as independent film projects. “Sal” is a graduate of Berklee College of Music.
