Sony/ATV signing Anne-Marie heads the 2019 BRIT Awards nominations after being shortlisted in four categories.

Her debut album Speak Your Mind is nominated for British Album of the Year, while her UK top three hit '2002', which she co-wrote with Sony/ATV songwriter Ed Sheeran, is competing for both British Single and British Video of the Year. She is also nominated for British Female Solo Artist.

Sony/ATV’s Clean Bandit, Calvin Harris and Jorja Smith have also picked up multiple mentions in the nominations, which were announced on Saturday January 12th.

A year after winning the BRITS Critics’ Choice Award, Smith is up this time for British Album of the Year for Lost & Found, British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. These nominations follow her being shortlisted for Best New Artist at the forthcoming Grammy Awards.

Calvin Harris’ Dua Lipa pairing 'One Kiss', which was the No.1 song of 2018 in the U.K. based on streams and sales, has nominations in the British Single and British Album categories as do Clean Bandit with 'Solo' featuring Demi Lovato.

Other Sony/ATV talent nominated include Sam Smith who is shortlisted for British Male Solo Artist, Arctic Monkeys for British Group, a category they have won three times previously, and recent signing Ella Mai for British Breakthrough Act.

In the international categories, Drake is shortlisted for International Male Solo Artist, which he won in 2016, and where this time he is up against fellow Sony/ATV signing Travis Scott. In the International Female Solo Artist category Camila Cabello and Cardi B have both been nominated and Nile Rodgers and Chic are contenders for International Group.

Other Sony/ATV songwriters are also represented in the nominations having penned some of the biggest hits of 2018. These include Fred Gibson whose song 'Solo' (Clean Bandit featuring Demi Lovato) has Best British Single and British Album nominations. The George Ezra hit 'Shotgun' which he co-wrote is shortlisted for British Single and his co-penned song 'Breathe', which was recorded by Jax Jones featuring Ina Wroldsen, is up for British Video. Competing in the same category is the Rita Ora hit 'Let You Love Me', which Gibson co-wrote with fellow Sony/ATV songwriters Noonie Bao and Ilsey Juber.

Sony/ATV songwriter Jamie Scott’s co-authored 'These Days', which was a hit for Rudimental featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplan, has British Single and British Album nominations and there is a British Video nomination for the Little Mix hit 'Woman Like Me' whose writers include Ed Sheeran. Although he is not nominated this year as an artist, Sheeran also sees his Anne-Marie song “2002” securing double nominations for British Single and British Video.

The 2019 BRIT Awards will take place at the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday, February 20th.
