Like the name ‘Sombra’, meaning ‘shadow’ in Spanish infers, new creative technology Sombra Labs has been working on clients projects quietly before their anticipated brand reveal. In the recent weeks Sombra Labs who specialise in web3 ecosystems, immersive experiences, metahumans and virtual production have appointed creative and branding studio The Negra to bring a unique look and feel to the brand as well as re-imagine how their web3 project Sombra Network is branded.
Argentina based studio The Negra are renowned for having worked with the likes of technology giants including Google, Siemens and Accenture as well as culturally connected brands including Comic Con and Comedy Central.
Speaking of plans for the new brand launch Sombra Labs and Network founder Brendan O’Neil states “We know the giant opportunity for Sombra Labs in a world where Ai is creating more opportunities than ever for brands to not only optimise their creativity, but build more immersive and impactful activations than ever before. It is only fitting that a business with such high ambitions gets a top tier approach to their brand identity. For us The Negra is the perfect partner due to their playful, unstoppable creative energy”.
Sombra Labs, part of the AlongSide Global collective, awarded The Negra the project after seeing how the studio built a coming-soon bold creative identity for fellow AlongSide business Organs.
Of the partnership The Negra creative director Sebastian Sanchez says, “What excited us about working with an AlongSide business again was the duality between both Sombra Labs and Sombra Network as a pair, how they are reflections of each other but still unique brands.”
The re-brand is set to be revealed in Q4 of 2023 with an unmissable launch from Sombra Labs and a whole new look for Sombra Network.
