Increase in demand for Solarflare’s experiential services has led to the company making three new appointments to strengthen its design, technology and client handling teams.
Daniel Butters joins as a creative technologist. His role will consist of creative technology development for client projects and for the company’s LAUNCH creative accelerator programme, as well as supporting external developers on active projects. He’ll also be supporting new business drives, providing technology proof of concepts for pitches.
He was previously at design and production company, The Mill, where he worked on tech development including multi-screen experiences and AI integration.
Daniel commented: “I’m looking forward to making some really cool stuff and to honing my technical skills, and gaining experience working with external development teams and management.”
Tom Pascoe has been appointed as a new partnership director, working with Solarflare’s existing clients and outreaching to new agencies to help globally deliver best-in-class experiential projects. He was previously a client services manager at Blippar and prior to that was business development lead at JigSpace.
Tom commented: “I was attracted to Solarflare Studio as I admire their award-winning work. The ability to work with like-minded people and across all of the disciplines I’ve been interested in for so long, is really exciting.”
Elena Ramirez is its talented new junior designer who will contribute to bringing ideas to life through visual artistry, collaborating closely with the team to create impactful brand experiences, and constantly exploring new adventures in design and new technologies
A graduate in Graphic Design from the Open College of Art, Elena is looking forward to “Immersing myself in diverse projects, expanding my knowledge, and collaborating closely with the team to deliver impactful designs that elevate the company’s brand — and hopefully help with leaving a lasting impression!”
Jay Short, co-founder of Solarflare Studio said: “Over the past year, a number of our existing agency partners have increased the portfolio of clients that work with us. We are also being introduced to new departments within our client-side business. Coupled with the huge amount of fast changes within the technology sector, for example with AI interest skyrocketing and the likes of Meta and Apple launching new headsets, we are in a strong position for growth. It’s great to therefore have three such enthusiastic, creative and talented people joining our team. Our ethos is to bring new technological solutions to life to create unique immersive experiences for our clients and we’re looking forward to Daniel, Tom and Elena playing crucial roles in this.”
