Smile + Wave Appoints Shenny Jaffer as Executive Producer

Smile + Wave has today welcomed Shenny Jaffer to the team, joining Ashley Monaghan as executive producer. 

Having emigrated from East Africa to Canada as a child, Shenny initially pursued a career in the medical field before shifting her focus to the world of advertising. After landing a role as a receptionist at Ogilvy, she was soon assisting a team of seven producers in the broadcast department, before moving on to producing herself. A true collaborative partner, Shenny forged long-standing relationships across the industry whilst continuing to make waves as a senior producer. 

Since then, Shenny has seen the industry from a range of different perspectives. After cutting her teeth on the agency side, she moved into the world of animation, producing for a 2D/3D animation and motion graphics studio. Her first foray into post production, Shenny became one of the few freelance producers to have both agency and post experience under her belt - a real advantage in the industry. 

Throughout her career, Shenny has worked with impassioned directors, driven creatives, marketing teams struggling to navigate an oversaturated market, and major brands including Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Kronenbourg, IBM, Dove, and Tim Hortons. Working as head of integrated content & broadcast at Wunderman Thompson, she was able to rejuvenate the in-house post offerings and bring in a healthy revenue stream. On contract as an executive producer for Alter Ego, she not only mentored but also brought a much-needed perspective of agency/client relationships to the supplier side.   

Shenny now brings this extensive experience to Smile + Wave. Working to support strategic and creative thinking from planning to execution, she will offer a progressive outlook and a drive to produce exceptional work.
