Short Films Celebrates Ten Years with New Director Signings

Stephen Mead and Holly Hartley’s company Short Films, based in the heart of Soho, is celebrating its tenth birthday by announcing the signing of new directors. 

“We will provide a mélange of directors with different approaches to fashion and beauty” says Stephen. "The directors who each have a genuine passion for the genre continue to guarantee sumptuous, chic commercials within an enthusiastic work ambiance. Holding this together is the effervescent Lea Chukri who has also just joined. Having worked in Dubai and Milan, we are pleased to have her enthusiasm at Short Films."

Holly and Stephen are looking forward to this new journey with fervour and are excited to have such a talented team to work with. 

Introducing the Short Films new signings: 

Matthew Donaldson is a globally recognised photographer/director shooting for prestige brands like Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein as well as his more narrative work for NOWNESS, where his photographic style translates beautifully to the moving image. His clean and clear vision creates memorable shots that have the irreverent confidence of experience. Matthew has just shot the latest campaign for Target in America and a dance piece for Ford.

Julien Fanton D’Andon is an expert of different shooting techniques. He has a broad range of experience in beauty, high speed, stop motion, motion design and visual effects. He graduated from ESAG Penninghen in Paris in 2004. Some of the exceptional traits of his style are precision, attention for detail, patience and determination. He has shot commercials for Chanel, Lancome, Louis Vuitton, Hennessy, Ruinard, McDonald’s and other multinational brands.

Pedro Suarez is master of the testimonial. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU, Pedro decided to move to London to focus on directing. His poignant performances and delicate way of capturing emotions are delightfully observed. He has shot commercials for Dove, Age UK, Royal Mail and more…

Hanna Beširević has already flourished in Paris with campaigns for Giorgio Armani, Dom Perignon and Dior. Her strong visual style and understanding of the film medium far outweighs her years. She has built a striking portfolio of photography, film projects and digital content.
