Sehsucht Signs Raphael Vangelis.

Sehsucht has announced the addition of Raphael Vangelis to their directorial roster.

Vangelis previously worked for animation studios Buck New York, Hornet New York and Glassworks London, where he directed projects for clients such as Nike, Hertz and Huawei. He has also released various independent animation shorts including his film Analogue Loaders, which garnered international media coverage earlier this year.

As a keen experimenter, who likes to explore the boundaries between physical and digital, Vangelis is fluent across a variety of mediums - stop-motion, 3D animation, live action - often combining these to tell the story at hand.

"This is a dream come true moment for me,” Vangelis says of his new signing. “Working with Sehsucht has been on my wish list since my university days. I believe my approach of combining various techniques will add something new to the already incredible roster. Watch out, big things are coming!"

He will be joining Sehsucht’s internationally acclaimed directors like Alex Turvey, Jean-Paul Frenay, Ole Peters, Antoni Nykowski, Hans-Christoph Schultheiss, Mate Steinforth, We Think Things and Wolfberg.
