Ryan Robinson Joins Blacklist Creative as Art Director

Ryan joins the independent agency and production studio from Warner Brothers Discovery

Independent agency and production studio, Blacklist Creative, has announced the appointment of Ryan Robinson as art director. 

In his previous role, managing the Kids and Family design team at Warner Brothers Discovery, Ryan oversaw a number of responsibilities within the department, ranging from print (OOH, press ads, marketing materials) to video (television continuity, animated IDs and bumps, branding campaigns, brand identity, DOOH) and everything in between (themed entertainment, brand collaborations, licensing, digital apps and games, experiential etc). 

With such a varied skill set and breadth of experience, when deciding on his next move, Ryan looked for a role that would embrace and utilise his diverse skill set. As art director at Blacklist Creative, Ryan will work across all creative output at the agency, as well as furthering his experience in video games through Blacklist Creative’s extensive gaming capabilities.   

Ryan’s career highlights include Cartoon Network Climate Champions, wherein children could find tips on ways to help the planet through interactive challenges. Tasked with creating a series of animations to support the wider campaign, Ryan worked closely with animators and creatives to create short form content that was made to look handmade and stop motion in style. This work was expanded upon and rolled out across the whole Climate Champion initiative aesthetic. 

His work for IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park in Dubai which is home to a Cartoon Network Zone, saw Ryan work over the course of two years to design, theme and art direct the making of the entire zone. The process included but was not limited to, ride concepts and designs, food and drinks concessions, merchandising, theming and ride names.

I’m very excited to get stuck into all of these projects, and there’s so many fun things in the pipeline that I’m already excited to share with the world (once all of the hard work has been done that is!)”
