Royal Ontario Museum's 'Immortal' Wins Best of Show in Advertising at Marketing Awards

Royal Ontario Museum's momentous short film 'Immortal' has raked in more awards this week from the Marketing Awards, Clios, and The One Show.

The unique 6” film allows viewers to watch as key historical events play out in dramatic slow motion deep underwater, from the holocaust to Trump, Banksy to Tiananmen Square. Capturing the scope and scale of stories unlocked by the museum and its collection, it was designed to entice viewers to revisit after a period of covid-related closures. 

A union of powerful cinematography, a moving narration, and a haunting original track from Rajakovic Electric’s Mark Rajakovic, the campaign was crowned Best of Show at the Marketing Awards and won Golds at the Clios and One Show in the Branded Content category. 

This is not the first time the ambitious film has been recognised for its calibre, being one of only nine projects to earn a Commendation at the 2022 Immortal Awards.
