Robots Go to War in Michael Marczewski’s Short for Adult Swim

Adult Swim SMALLS has commissioned a new short film from Michael Marczewski which plunges us into a seedy back-alley robot fighting ring in near-future Japan, where two opponents come to the realisation that they are long lost friends.

The short was designed, directed and 3D animated by Michael, and takes its inspiration from remote-controlled robot wrestling championships in Japan.

Speaking about the tone of the film, Michael says: "I thought it would be funny if each robot regarded itself as a supreme samurai warrior, but turn out to be hilariously bad when it comes down to actually fighting."
