Rising Comedy Talent Charles Muzard Joins Generator

Generator Films has announced the signing of rising talent Charles Muzard. 

“There’s more than the usual level of excitement in the Generator office right now due to this directorial discovery,” said a Generator representative. 

Born in France, raised in Canada and freshly arrived in the UK, the least we can say about Charles is that he’s good at making new friends. His 52,000 YouTube subscribers could attest to that. Charles was instrumental in forming the comedy collective Boo Ya Pictures, directing, writing (and even starring) in some of Youtube’s funniest digital shorts, where he mixed hilarious memorable concepts with slick visual flare. Charles’ modern and subversive work likes to poke fun at convention.

His impressive arsenal of short films have gathered a staggering 12 million views, although it isn’t hard to see why; whether it’s a tweeting grandma, a monster couch or a Tom Green music video, Charles’s work shows his innate flare for directing searingly funny comedy performances that retain an inherent likability. Testament to this is the fact that his many projects have been promoted by the likes of Judd Apatow, Conan O’Brien, Ron Jeremy (yes that one) & Snoop Dogg, and have aired on Canal +, Comedy Central, MTV, The Hollywood Reporter, Empire Magazine, The Huffington Post, Funny Or Die and many more.

His Indiegogo financed “monster couch” short Lazy Boyz, won best editing at Fantasia Film Festival, best special effect at SPASM Festival, screened around the world and was a crowd favourite at Toronto After Dark. Most recently, Charles has been developing projects for TV. His Vice News spoof Dope Ass World was a finalist in CBC’s ComedyCoup before getting optioned for development in 2015.
