In this spectacular series of images, the golden Acido Dorado building designed by architect Robert Stone glitters in the middle of the desert just a few hundred metres north of Joshua Tree National Park in California. Agency BB&K, headed by art director Martin Spies, came up with the idea of highlighting the sense of agility and comfort of the new Porsche Panamera by associating it with the architectural ideal of form and function of the Acido Dorado.
Photographer Uli Heckmann is one of the very few people who were allowed to place a car in front of this amazing architecture with its angular and geometric shapes, coloured completely in gold, sitting in surprising harmony with the sandy and rough landscape of the desert. CGI director Thorsten Jasper Weese of post production studio Recom Farmhouse joined the shoot for the pre-visualisation of the fully computer generated Panamera while the artists in London, New York and Stuttgart worked closely with Heckmann whose mood-board for this project also contained a shining black stallion. Heckmann enjoyed the creative exchange during the screen sharing sessions, directing the teams on both sides of the Atlantic, tweaking and refining all the golden reflections of the architecture on the shiny black surface of the car. Recom Farmhouse's artists also created a sexy and luscious glow, further enhancing the crisp magic of the burning desert sun.
Whether dealing with architecture or a sports car, Recom Farmhouse was able to perfectly balance the CG elements and creative retouching with the stunning landscape around Acido Dorado.
