Rapid has announced the signing of Nicholas Schrunk to its roster of world-class film makers.
Schrunk is an award-winning feature film and commercial director focusing on action and adventure storytelling. It's through a combination of visuals and an unconventional observational filming style that he tells stories. Utilizing his diverse background, he combines his reason-driven education in science with traditional visual design principals. The result is a collection of work that illustrates stories that are both visually and emotionally moving.
Schrunk recently directed the award-winning documentary feature, "Blood Road", which follows Rebecca Rusch's journey on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in search of the place where her father lost his life when he was shot down during the Vietnam War. "Blood Road" won Best of Festival at the Bentonville Film Festival & Sun Valley Film Festival and has been praised by reviews from the LA Times, Access Hollywood, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, The Young Folks and numerous other outlets.
He's won a Webby award for best online sports content for his skateboard film "Perspective" and premiered the film "On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter" at the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival.
Says Schrunk: "I'm ecstatic to be working with Rapid Films, their work in film and the 360° VR space is exceptional. I'm looking forward to helping them tell stories through all lenses."
