Radio LBB: The Art of the Reissue

I've picked out some of my favourite records released on reissue labels such as Numero, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Minimal Wave, Athens Of The North.

It's a passion, the thrill of unearthing obscure or forgotten musical gems. The excitement of stumbling upon a hidden masterpiece, an artist lost to obscurity, or a long-lost recording is a source of immense joy. It's a delightful journey through time and a celebration of the rich tapestry of music that might otherwise have been forgotten. You can't help but admire the dedication and care with which these labels compile, remaster, and present these treasures, making them accessible to a new generation of listeners.

It's worth noting that not every song released on these labels is from the archive (as demonstrated in this playlist). The labels have the potential to serve as a bridge between the past and the present, providing a platform for contemporary artists whose work is influenced by or resonates with the historical recordings they reissue.
