Five years ago was a weird time. We were all trying to adjust to a new way of living staying at home and communicating through Zoom. Everything went digital.
During those lockdown years, we had no artists on tour and no way to share music other than impersonal hyperlinks. The real connection to music wasn’t there and ultimately that’s why we do this job isn’t it? So in 2021 we at Concord Label Group devised Crate Digging, a platform for our clients to pick two records from past and present that we’d send to them for their listening pleasure.
Over four years later and with 45 episodes on LBB and counting, we felt it was time to make Crate Digging a live and in-person night for one-night only where you could all take your picks from Concord’s family of labels. Held at the brilliant Next Door Records Two in Stoke Newington and in partnership with the UK and EU Guild of Music Supervisors, this was a night for all music supervisors, clients, labels, and publishers to come together for drinks, food, and to ultimately dig through our catalogue, discover some hidden gems, and take home your favourites.
