Radio Femme: Composer Donna McKevitt's IWD Playlist

Happy International Women’s Day!

In honour of one of our favourite days of the year, we asked Leland Originals composer Donna McKevitt to create her definitive female-focused playlist.

Donna is a classically trained violist, pianist, and vocalist. Her diverse background spans from being an artist (as a member of Miranda Sex Garden), to working conceptually setting poetry to music and choral commissions. 

Last year Donna wrote and produced the work NUDE based on Marcel Duchamp’s painting Nude Descending a Staircase, the work was premiered at The Mayfair Arts Festival and is currently touring the UK. Her piece Amica Mea will receive its premier performance by the ORA Singers at LSO St Luke’s in London this month and Donna will be returning to Rome this Summer for a residency with The Stradella Festival to complete and produce her song cycle of Michelangelo poems.
