Rabble Post has officially launched in the heart of Manchester, UK – and is now the only full-service post production facility in the city centre following a spate of high-profile closures.
The post production company is part of The Mob Film Group and has already worked on a number of projects for brands such as Misguided, Ao.com, Manchester United, Etihad Airways, New Era, Manchester City and the DS Virgin Racing Team.
Located on the third floor of the Queens Chambers on the corner John Dalton Street / Deansgate, Rabble offers services including editing, grading, sound & VFX, for both broadcast and advertising.
The company recently hired Rebecca McDonald and Oli Preston from Media City, growing its headcount to eight and moved in to the 3,173 sq ft space after buying it from creative agency Bark and Bite earlier this year.
Rebecca joined as Senior Producer Post Production from Flix Facilities, while Oli was hired from Dock10 as Senior VFX Artist.
Nick Humphreys, Group Managing Director of The Mob, said: “It follows on from a considerable investment in equipment, key staff hires and getting everything ready to open our doors. With the launch of Rabble we are very much bringing the best of Soho to central Manchester with a very slick operation in an enviably designed space that has a wow factor. It’s a huge privilege to be the only full-service post production facility in Manchester city centre and is a sign of our own investment in the region that we secured this facility as an alternative to Media City. We feel we are extremely well positioned to work with the very best creative talent in the region.”
Rabble boasts boutique online and offline suites, a Da Vinci Resolve grading suite and full spec 5.1 sound studio & recording booth, plus a fully stocked bar and soft areas which enables clients to relax between working on projects with the company’s staff.
Its city centre location has already been a draw for Peaky Blinders actress Helen McCrory, comedian Paddy McGuinness and Siobhan Finneran, who have made use of the audio and recording suites including ADR for the BBC.
Nick said: “Clients feel very much at home when they come in to collaborate and being in central Manchester also makes our offering a unique alternative to Media City. We are easy to find, easy to work with and very competitive and see Rabble as a long-term investment in keeping a facility in the city centre.”
He added: “Our aspiration is to be the best post production house outside of London. We feel that the opportunities to grow are endless and that we can work on and deliver the world class creative content that is being generated. The Mob Group may be behind the investment but it’s very much a stand-alone business that fills a huge gap in the market and not only keeps our post production in Manchester but opens its doors to broadcasters and advertisers alike.”
Together with Rebecca McDonald and Oli Preston, the Rabble team is made up of Sam Lynch, Head of Post Production, Rory Flynn, Head of VFX, Thom Beale, Motion Designer, Dean Corvill, Audio & ADR Engineer and Danny Riyat, Business Development Executive.
On joining Rabble, Rebecca said: “I’m just delighted to be part of such a talented team. People have fun at Rabble and concentrate on doing what they are best at. It’s a very exciting time as we look to grow our client base in Manchester and beyond.”
