Food and beverage marketing agency, quench, has appointed Jared Scott as GM/Director of Brand Management, President/CEO Michael Pavone announced today. The move marks a key step in a plan to nearly double the size of the agency’s Philadelphia office by the end of 2018.
Scott will lead business development, agency PR and brand management across all quench offices and agencies, as well as help with operations and resource management. While the company is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Scott will be based in the Philadelphia office, which opened a little over one year ago.
quench’s Philadelphia branch is expanding, and Scott expects it to be the company’s growth engine for business development. In addition to Harrisburg and Philadelphia, quench also has an office in Chicago and works with clients such as StarKist, Hershey, Labatt, Seagram’s and recently-won Sun-Maid.
“Jared’s seasoned leadership and entrepreneurial approach make him the puzzle piece we’ve been looking for in Philly,” Pavone said. “He’s inheriting an office with almost unlimited growth potential, but he’s been there and done that — several times — which is why we’re excited to have him onboard.”
Scott comes to quench from The Brooklyn Brothers NY, where he served as the company’s first-ever managing director. He focused on operations, management and business development, and helped with the 2016 IPG acquisition. Scott also founded an agency, Stick and Move, which was acquired by fellow Philly shop Red Tettemer. Scott’s career also includes stops at Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy, CP+B and 22Squared. Over the past 10 years, Scott has been part of winning Ad Age’s Small Agency of Year four times at three different agencies.
“I’m thrilled to join quench, which has leveraged its brains and nimbleness to create wildly successful programs for its client partners,” Scott said. “I’m also excited to work on such iconic and venerable CPG brands, and I look forward to expanding the portfolio.”
