Proximity London fought off strong competition to become the most awarded agency at the 2020 ANA International ECHO Awards, which took place on Monday evening in Orlando, Florida.
Highlighting its position as a creative leader on the global stage, the agency walked away with a total of eight awards, charging ahead of agency networks including BBDO, Publicis and FCB.
Recognised for its work with Virgin Holidays, The Economist and TV Licensing, Proximity London won gold in the ‘Best Customer Engagement’ category for its Virgin Holidays Customer Journey as well as golds for its Economist World Cup campaign in the ‘Best Use of Display’ and ‘Best Use of Copywriting’ categories.
Proximity London wasn’t the only agency within Proximity Worldwide to be awarded on the night. In addition to the London agency’s eight awards, a further five were awarded across the network, bringing the total to 13.
The ECHOs, which this year celebrate their 90th anniversary, reward data-inspired strategy, creativity and results. This year’s ECHOs received over 400 entries from 22 countries across the globe. There were 89 winners across 31 categories.
John Treacy, executive creative director at Proximity London commented: “The ECHOs act as an industry gold standard for data-driven creativity across the world, so to come away as the most awarded agency is a real achievement and something we are immensely proud of.”
