Proximity NZ successfully secures eight finalist positions in the 2023 TVNZ-NZ Awards

Next-generation creative advertising agency, Proximity NZ, is celebrating the success of several client campaigns being selected as finalists for the 2023 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.

Showcasing some of its most exceptional marketing strategies, campaigns and digital solutions, Proximity NZ has received eight finalist nominations across several of its clients.

Proximity’s ‘Made for You Review’ campaign for Spark leads the way with five nominations in Excellence in Data Insights Strategy, Excellence in Comms Strategy, Excellence in MarTech Strategy and Data-driven Marketing Campaign.

Nathalie Philippsen, director of CXM at Proximity NZ, said: “Receiving finalists nominations across all five categories for Spark’s ‘Made For You Review’ (MFYR) really showcases the power of a strong collaborative partnership with Spark to find solutions that are diverse and creative.

“We are incredibly proud of this NZ category-first programme, which uses customers' own data to build trust and the foundations for longer-lasting customer relationships.

“Supported by a world-class data-insights strategy, digital marketing and clever communications across the entire business, the MFYR campaign outperformed across all benchmarks. Ultimately, driving growth for Spark with an ROI of 1:14, which is truly exceptional and award-worthy.”

Proximity’s campaigns for Tip Top Bakery Oatilicious's ‘Just add Oats’, Mix&Match’s ‘Let’s Go’, and Spark’s ‘Samsung Launches’ have also been selected as finalists across various Excellence Awards in the three award categories.

Tip Top Bakery’s Oatilicous campaign gave the brand a distinctive cut-through in a fast-moving consumer goods category that we are proud to see as one of many unique finalist nominations in the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards, said Aaron Turk, executive creative director at Proximity NZ.

“Rather than hype up the usual superfood tirade, the Tip Top Oatalicious campaign idea took the opposite route by highlighting a few things oats can’t do. The unconventional approach combined with a vibrant set design, irreverent scenarios and voiced by the irrepressible Te Radar, ensured the Oatilicious point of difference and connected with the household shopper driving incremental sales for the brand.”

Nicola Bunting, director of strategy at Proximity NZ, says it's excellent to see a breadth of work being nominated as finalists in the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.

“At Proximity, we are passionate about diagnosing client problems and matching them with the right solution. Sometimes that might be a customer communication strategy, a technology solution, a brand-building campaign, or a digital performance programme. We look forward to seeing the final results announced in September."

The full list of finalists for the 2023 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards can be found here, with category winners being announced on Awards Night, which will be held on Wednesday, September 6, at Spark Arena
