Productive Launches Freelancer Initiative 'Productive Network'

If professional loneliness was not already enough of a worry for freelancers in the creative industry, 2020 is definitely the year that the creative world has been turned upside down for many. And undoubtedly 2021 is going to be a very different year still, for many people. 2021 is definitely the year that freelancers will need to be more proactive.

Productive, the creative management and promotion agency, launched in 2019 by Kate Jenner, based in Barcelona, at its heart, always wanted to do more to actively help more creative people, especially those who aren’t employees/represented by either agencies or production companies; by giving them more visibility, better promotion and access to important and professional career support.

The year of 2020 has spurred Productive on to launch new services at the start of this year 2021.

Productive is launching 'Productive Network' (in BETA version) which is best described as “a celebration of great work*, crediting the people in the creative industry who are often unnamed or unseen”.

*Great work can be submitted to Productive Network by anyone or any company, but must nominate a particular department/s and member of /Head of Department for their specific input in the project (the input can be on or off screen, and the nomination should preferably be a freelance not an agency or production company employee or representative. Self nominations are also encouraged. Accepted work will be shared on Productive Network social media and with their growing creative audiences. 

*Great work must be a combination of a good creative result combined with the extraordinary contribution on or off screen of a talented creative individual. This does not mean it needs to be big budget or just established talent. In fact Productive Network welcomes new talent and innovative work on a smaller budget.

Productive hopes that 2021 will be a year for production companies and other creative companies and established heads of department to show their freelancers & crew just how important they are, by supporting them in new ways including through Productive Network. Productive also offers the opportunity for more peer to peer support and self promotion. If you nominate someone you will always have the opportunity to be credited too or remain anonymous.

Productive Network’s goal is to help freelancers with visibility issues but also complete the circle benefiting production companies, other creative companies and heads of dept, as a tool to hunt out new talent for future projects.
