Paramount Brand Studio chose STUCK IN MOTION for the full post production of Burger King’s 75 second film featuring Les Twins and Sean Paul for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards
LBB is shining a spotlight on a remarkable collaboration between creative studio STUCK IN MOTION and Paramount Brand Studio for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). This year, their joint effort brings together another high-octane musical campaign for Burger King, which premiered on September 11th during the live VMAs broadcast.

Burger King has long been a significant player in the VMAs’ advertising space, but this year’s campaign sets a new benchmark for creativity and integration. Following on from last year’s musical campaigns for Burger King and Toyota, Paramount Brand Studio and STUCK IN MOTION crafted a colourful spot that captures the essence of BK’s new summer beverage and the official drink of this year’s VMAs – Frozen Pink Lemonade.

The high-energy, effervescent film centres around global street dance sensation, Les Twins, and Grammy-winning dancehall superstar, Sean Paul. Designed to complement the electrifying atmosphere of the VMAs, Les Twins' renowned dance prowess and Sean Paul's infectious rhythms set the stage for a memorable visual experience.


The concept, dreamt up by Paramount Brand Studio creative director Brittany Chanel Greene and directed by London Alley’s Courtney Phillips, is inspired by the invigorating qualities of Frozen Pink Lemonade. Taking place on a sweltering summer’s day, the short film opens on a bustling NYC city street full of perspiring bystanders, all of whom burst to life after taking their first sip of the rose-coloured drink. Over the course of the short, the urban backdrop transforms into a pink-washed canvas for an awe-inspiring dance performance.  


Lifting the curtain on STUCK IN MOTION’s involvement, Tommy Shull, executive producer and visual effects supervisor tells LBB, “The original concept relied on all in-camera practical effects but as the scope expanded, a lot of post and VFX elements got added; from pink wisps, to animated BK stripes, to gravity defying benches, to giant billboards with Sean Paul performing on them. We had to be really strategic throughout our process because we’re delivering for a live show with a hard date. It was very challenging but turned out really great in the end.”

Known for their meticulous attention to detail and high-quality post-production work, STUCK IN MOTION’s team played a pivotal role in bringing this ambitious project to life. The studio’s involvement extended beyond traditional post-production services, deeply integrated into the creative process from the early stages.

This work is a testament to the power of creative collaboration and the impact of a well-executed post-production process, and STUCK IN MOTION’s role in bringing the vision to life highlights its expertise and dedication to delivering exceptional work under tight deadlines.
