Powerful Short Documentary Tackles Misconceptions About Suicide

Produced by Brother Film, and made in collaboration with Papyrus UK, SoBS and Rethink Mental Illness, Myths is a short documentary challenging common misconceptions about suicide. The film features stories from those who have lost loved ones, or tried to take their own life. Simplicity was key to the approach. The team shot in one day on a single vintage lens, using edge distortion as an unassuming visual metaphor for how a suicide permanently alters the lives of those left behind - always present, lingering at the edges of memory and mind.
