Poetic Filmmaker Thanasis Tsimpinis Joins El Colony

Up and coming, award-winning director Thanasis Tsimpinis has joined the roster at El Colony, bringing his dreamy, visually captivating style.

“Thanasis is a sensitive master storyteller, attuned tonuances,” said an El Colony spokesperson. His 2014 short film Fawns won BestCinematography at the Athens International Film Festival, revealing his flairfor aesthetics and staging.   

Fawns is a fragile short film that gives an insight into the love and heartbreak of one couple's intimate relationship. However, the story transcends gender, and explores the deeper meaning of love in just a few minutes of the black and white sequence.

Thanasis's commercial work ranges from beauty and fashion films for Korres, Follie Follie, Ozon and other brands to performance mixed with inventive tabletop (Knorr, Nescafe, Allatini) and music videos.
